How do I place an order on this website? - Shopping cart: Click the item you wish to buy. Click the number of items you want to order on the detail page and then click “Order”. If you want to proceed to the checkout, click the shopping cart at the top right. You can still remove an item or change your order by entering another figure in the box and then clicking “Update my order”. Then click “Pay my order” to complete and pay for your order.
- Personal details: You are given two options as a new customer. If you wish, you can place a one-off order without creating an account. The other option is to create an account so you do not have to enter all your personal details for subsequent orders. Enter your personal information and tell us where to ship your order. You can ship your order to a different address that is not your home address (to work or to someone you want to send a gift for example). You can be certain of one thing: we never pass on your personal information to third parties and we treat it confidentially. Indicate how you want to pay, check your order and the shipping cost one last time and then click “Confirm my order”.
- Confirmation e-mail: Your order is only final when you have clicked “Confirm” under step 6. Until you have not done this, you can return and change it at every stage of the ordering process. As soon as you have confirmed your order, we will automatically send you an e-mail. If you have chosen to pay by bank transfer, you will find all the bank details you need in this mail to make the payment. If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail but are certain that you completed your order, send an e-mail to service@rosettelavedette.com and we will check the order status for you.
- Payment: After placing your order, you pay for it. If you have chosen to pay online, you will automatically be referred to the secure payment page of our partner Ingenico (formerly Ogone). If you have chosen to pay by bank transfer, then use the bank details in the confirmation e-mail to make your transfer. You can also find these bank details below under “How do I pay?” and on the “Contact” page of this website.
- Invoice: As soon as we have processed your payment, you will receive an e-mail from us with an official invoice or delivery note. Make sure to keep it if you are entitled to a refund from your health insurance fund or care insurance.

Why is a chemo scarf or hat by Rosette la Vedette a better option than “ordinary” hats or scarves? - Suitable for indoors: Most “ordinary” hats are designed to protect your head against the cold in winter, making them unsuitable for indoor use. Our chemo scarves and hats are designed with indoor wear in mind. They also look like a fashion accessory rather than an average hat.
- Soft and seamless: Our chemo scarves and hats are made of soft stretch fabric, without any irritating seams or elastic. This is important because chemo can make your scalp very sensitive. You can wear one of Rosette la Vedette’s scarves or hats all day without any problems.
- Volume: Our scarves and hats have folds and are gathered in all the right places to create natural volume. As a result, your head will not look any smaller without hair and people will be less likely to notice that you have lost your hair. We also factor this in when choosing new prints for our chemo headwear. We always select patterns that create more volume optically.
- Designed by an experienced expert: Wendy was 34 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to find comfy and trendy scarves and hats. As she was unable to find anything that was 100% to her liking, she decided to design her own, under the Rosette la Vedette brand name. Wendy has had cancer herself so she knows first-hand that chemo hats and scarves have to meet very strict requirements. And anyone who knows Wendy knows that she only believes in the highest quality. Only the best is good enough.
What fabric do you use for the scarves and hats? When we started looking for the right fabric for Rosette la Vedette’s chemo hats, scarves and headscarves, we realised straight away that we would not be using cotton. It does not stay soft for very long and becomes stiffer every time you wash it. And that is not exactly a nice feeling when your scalp feels extra dry or is sensitive as a result of the chemo. Silk is not a good option either: it is too soft and easily slips off your head, but you need your chemo headscarf to stay in place until the end of the day, right?
We tested a lot of fabrics and found that “ordinary” viscose jersey was the best option. It absorbs moisture well, stretches nicely, is flexible and soft, light-weight and feels cool when it’s hot. But – above all – “ordinary” viscose retains its shape, unlike bamboo viscose.
Which sizes are available? All our scarves, hats and caps are ‘one size fits all’. So you don’t have to worry about sizes or head measurements. We have one standard size, which adapts nicely to every circumference because of the stretch fabrics. If you have a very small or large head and are worried about the fit, then send us an e-mail at service@rosettelavedette.com. We will be happy to provide extra advice!
How do I wash and dry my scarf or turban? 1/ WASH AT MAX. 30 °C
Wash your scarf or hat at max. 30 °C and select a wash programme with a delicate spin cycle. A fast spin could cause it to shrink. Do you need to go into a sterile room? Your hat or scarf is suitable for a 60 °C wash programme but may wear out more quickly as a result.2/ DON’T USE WOOL DETERGENT OR FABRIC SOFTENER
An ordinary laundry detergent is the best choice. Don’t use a special wool detergent, as this will cause piling and make the fabric wear out faster. If your skin becomes itchy or irritated easily, it’s best not to use fabric softener.3/ USE A LAUNDRY BAG
Ideally, put your scarf or hat in a laundry bag. You’ll probably have one at home for washing lingerie. This is a particularly good tip if you opted for a model with long ribbons. This will prevent them from getting tangled up and stretched out amongst the rest of your washing.4/ AND WHAT ABOUT TUMBLE DRYING?
Your scarf or hat may shrink in the tumble dryer. Handy if you have a small head and want to make your model fit a little more snugly. But unless tumble-drying is a necessity, it’s best to airdry your new purchase. If you would prefer to avoid clothes peg marks or the risk of stretching, lie it out to dry flat instead of hanging it on the line.5/ IRONING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT REQUIRED
Our hats and scarves don’t need to be ironed. You’ve probably got enough other things on your plate. But if you’d like your new headwear to be neatly ironed, then do it at a low temperature. Can I wash my hat or scarf at 60° C during my stay in a sterile room? Yes, they are perfectly equipped to deal with these higher temperatures so 60°C should not be a problem if you only do it occasionally. But only wash them at this temperature if you really need to. If you need wash your scarves or hats at a higher temperature frequently, you will have to bear in mind that they will “wear” more quickly than at lower washing temperatures. We recommend ordering a few different ones so you can alternate a bit more frequently. After all, you do exactly the same with shoes so you can enjoy them for longer.
