Testimonials

  • Best hats out there!

They are so flattering and beautiful, they stay in place all day and all night, they maintain the perfect temperature so you don’t get cold or overheat and they are utterly comfortable. And what a wonderful selection of colours and patterns to chose from! I am so thrilled and I thank you with all my heart for making this difficult journey so much brighter and easier:)

  • My son is always so proud

Thank you for my new hats! People always compliment me on them. My son is always so proud to be able to say that his mum is not blonde, a brunette or a redhead. He likes to say that I wear all the colours of the rainbow.

  • Yours are the comfiest!

This week I received my third and fourth chemo scarves. Wow! I absolutely love them. Now I can mix and match even more. I leave my wig, which I used to wear every day after my hair fell out, sitting on its stand more and more often! I prefer to wear a scarf on sunny days. And yours are the comfiest!

  • Thanks for everything!

Thank you, Wendy, for the lovely hats! I love the colours and they are so soft! Your website is also very helpful to me. I usually don’t spend a lot of time looking at stuff on the Internet because I’m always a bit worried about reading awful stories or about people overreacting. But you’ve explained everything so clearly. And there’s always a positive note! You are a real support for us women during this very confusing period. THANK YOU XXX

Wendy's story

From cancer survivor to headwear designer

"I was 34 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost my hair during chemo. I was far too casual to consider wearing a wig, too picky to choose a boring hat and too optimistic to want to wear dark colours.

I couldn’t find anything in shops that I really liked: too old-fashioned, too complicated to tie up, with stitching that was too rough on my skin. More than ever I felt like I wanted to do my own thing. At that point my mum got out her sewing machine and sewed me “my own thing”, a series of turbans in my favourite colours. They looked so nice and were so soft to wear ...

Everyone agreed that I looked radiant! And the women who borrowed my hats once I no longer needed them received compliments everywhere they went. That simple stretch of fabric worked like a lucky charm. I soon decided I wanted to make other people in my situation happy with my scarves."
