Washing instructions
Thank you for choosing a Rosette la Vedette hat or scarf. Each piece is lovingly made to give you a fresh look and a boost of confidence. Treat it with the same care when washing and drying, and it will stay in top shape even longer.
1/ WASH AT MAX. 30 °C
Wash your scarf or hat at max. 30 °C and select a wash programme with a delicate spin cycle. A fast spin could cause it to shrink. Do you need to go into a sterile room? Your hat or scarf is suitable for a 60 °C wash programme but may wear out more quickly as a result.
2/ DON’T USE WOOL DETERGENT OR FABRIC SOFTENER
An ordinary laundry detergent is the best choice. Don’t use a special wool detergent, as this will cause piling and make the fabric wear out faster. If your skin becomes itchy or irritated easily, it’s best not to use fabric softener.
3/ USE A LAUNDRY BAG
Ideally, put your scarf or hat in a laundry bag. You’ll probably have one at home for washing lingerie. This is a particularly good tip if you opted for a model with long ribbons. This will prevent them from getting tangled up and stretched out amongst the rest of your washing.
4/ AND WHAT ABOUT TUMBLE DRYING?
Your scarf or hat may shrink in the tumble dryer. Handy if you have a small head and want to make your model fit a little more snugly. But unless tumble-drying is a necessity, it’s best to airdry your new purchase. If you would prefer to avoid clothes peg marks or the risk of stretching, lie it out to dry flat instead of hanging it on the line.
5/ IRONING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT REQUIRED
Our hats and scarves don’t need to be ironed. You’ve probably got enough other things on your plate. But if you’d like your new headwear to be neatly ironed, then do it at a low temperature.
