Everything you want to know about Pippa:
- No irritating details: no pleats, decorative details or stitching that can press or itch when you’re lying down. No irritating inner seams, elastic or Velcro either. Even the brand label is placed on the outside.
- No flat-head or swimming-cap look: Pippa lifts slightly at the back, so it doesn’t sit flat around your crown and still gives you flattering volume.
- Covers your ears and neck: your ears and neck stay comfortably warm at night — often the first areas to feel cold without hair.
- Soft stretch fabric: lightweight, supple jersey that feels gentle on a dry or sensitive scalp.
Of course, you should sleep however you feel most comfortable. But without hair, your head can feel surprisingly cold at night. You’re lying still for hours and your body temperature drops while you sleep. A soft sleep cap helps keep your head and neck comfortably warm. Because when you’re cold, you simply don’t sleep as well.
Yes, even in summer, most women prefer to sleep with a sleep cap. Without hair, your head can still get cold during warmer nights. But there’s another reason too: if you’re used to covering your head during the day, it can simply feel more comfortable and reassuring to cover it at night as well. Pippa is made from a lightweight, breathable fabric, making it very comfortable to wear on warmer nights too.

- Most of the time, yes. If you move around a lot in your sleep, a sleep cap can sometimes shift or slip off. This can happen with any style and is mainly caused by friction between the fabric of your cap and your pillowcase. Tip: a satin pillowcase reduces friction and helps your cap stay in place more easily.
- You’ll get used to it surprisingly quickly. If your cap does slip off, you’ll soon get into the habit of putting it back on, even when you’re half asleep.
Pippa was designed as a sleep cap, but you can easily wear it during the day too if you like a simple, soft hat without extra details. It’s also very handy as an undercap: wear Pippa under another hat or scarf for an extra layer of warmth on cold days, or under a wool or straw hat to prevent itching.

Pippa is one size. The stretchy jersey adapts comfortably to your head without feeling tight. With wear, the fabric of this chemo sleep cap will soften a little more.
Wendy’s tip: Have a smaller head and find your sleep cap a little too loose? Pop it in the tumble dryer briefly after washing to shrink it slightly.
Absolutely. Here’s how to keep your sleep cap looking its best:
- Wash: max. 30°C on a gentle spin cycle
- Detergent: regular detergent, no wool detergent or fabric softener
- Protect: preferably use a laundry bag
- Dry: lay flat to air-dry; avoid the tumble dryer
- Iron: usually unnecessary, but possible at a low temperature
Need to wash it at 60°C for medical reasons? You can, although the fabric will wear more quickly.
